2010: The Beginning of BTS
#1 BigHit Entertainment Plans a New Boy Group

📖 Description: BigHit Entertainment, led by Bang Si-hyuk, begins conceptualizing a new boy group that will focus on hip-hop music with strong lyrical storytelling.

The original Bangtan logo from 2010 (Then abbreviated as B.P.B). The logo will change twice more before debut.
#2 RM Joins BigHit Entertainment
📅 Date: Late 2010
📖 Description: Rapper RM (formerly known as Rap Monster) is recruited as the first official member of the upcoming boy group after being scouted by producer Sleepy. His exceptional rap skills and songwriting abilities impress Bang Si-hyuk, securing him a spot in the trainee lineup.

Although RM deleted all his uploaded independent work around 2010, some of his very early tracks still survive thanks to other artists who saved his work – for example, you can take a listen to Favourite Style, a collab with rapper Yammo.

#3 Formation of the Original BTS Lineup
📅 Date: Mid to Late 2010
📖 Description: Initially, BTS was meant to be a hip-hop crew rather than an idol group. BigHit Entertainment recruited underground rappers, including Iron, Supreme Boi, and RM. Some original members later left, leading to the final lineup we know today.
